Welcome to Therapy Seeds
Melanie Manipod Eddings, LMFT 94790
Marriage & Family Therapist and Reiki Practitioner/Master
Comprehensive Therapy 'Seeds' Tailored to You & Your Needs
My therapeutic interventions aim to increase self-awareness, mind-body connection & healing, and personal transformation. However your journey unfolds, I guide you by spreading and planting 'seeds' of insight and clarity for you to attend to, nourish, and water. Together, we will nurture and monitor your growth towards sustainable and meaningful change within yourself and in your relationships.

I intuitively work from a collective of modalities & experiences to create a personalized experience of your own that inspires healing, self-discovery, connection to your values, cleansing of unwanted energy, movement towards positive & lasting change, and alignment with your authentic self.

I like options. You have the option to connect with me in-person, over the phone, via video, or a combination of each, depending on your circumstances. The choice is yours. I am flexible and understanding of the varying flow of daily life.

Experience
With over 18 years of combined experience in private practice and community mental health settings, I have worked with diverse populations facing various mental health challenges; including, but not limited to stress,
anxiety, ADHD/ADD, OCD, intrusive thoughts, psychosis, depression, grief & loss, trauma, self-harming behaviors, abuse, burn-out, infidelity, break-up/separation/divorce, infertility, pregnancy & postpartum, parenting/co-parenting, substance abuse/dependence/recovery, challenging family dynamics, relationship distress, homelessness, acute symptoms in need of crisis intervention, individuals who committed a sexual offense, youth & adolescence in need of targeted behavioral change, and infants in need of developmental screenings & interventions to reach milestones.
I'm grateful for my valuable and enriching experience working in the following roles that have contributed to the well-rounded, ethical, and culturally sensitive clinician I am today, including Clinical Director of a non-profit mental health organization for mentally-ill adults, Program Director of a Crisis Residential Facility in Yolo County, Chemical Dependency Counselor at a Methadone Clinic in San Francisco, Clinical Supervisor to therapists in training, Functional Behavior Analyst for at-risk children and transitional aged youth, and Therapist for mandatory/court ordered group therapy and 1:1 treatment for individuals (minors and adults) who committed a sexual offense.
Areas of Interest
I am interested in treating a variety of mental health struggles, especially anxiety, depression, social anxiety, recovery from perfectionism and people-pleasing, nervous system regulation & rewiring, living with ADHD &/or with a partner with ADHD, life transitions, relationship issues, and couples therapy.
I am dedicated to helping individuals feel seen and heard, and to increase their confidence to overcome barriers, break unhealthy patterns/cycles, and to approach (instead of avoid) taking realistic steps towards a fulfilling life that satisfies their values & passions.
Approach
My approach is caring, compassionate, and collaborative; while also inspiring individuality and autonomy for making your own informed decisions. I am patient, non-judgmental, and meet you where you are at; while at the same time, am assertive with an action-oriented style that emulates strength, encouragement, and empowerment to take even the smallest step towards reaching your goals. I believe that it's the little things that go a long way, and that with intentional effort and consistent practice, lasting change can occur.
Values
My core values are rooted in meaningful relationships and personal growth. I bring this dedication to both my personal life and my practice through connection, understanding, patience, compassion, balance, active listening, genuine validation, thoughtful responses, purposeful action, mindfulness, awareness, and anchoring oneself in the moment with gratitude and without judgment. I am grateful for my clients for trusting me to be a part of their wellness journey.

I value sharing a sacred space and intentional presence with my clients. I respectfully & actively contribute to a safe, supportive, trusting, and impactful therapeutic relationship that mutually promotes healing, growth, and an enhanced quality of life.
